ICM 48013 Yak-9DD
The Yak-9 was the most numerous fighter of WWII to serve in the Red Army. The fighter Yak-9DD with a range in excess of 2000 km was constructed by A. Yakovlev's Design Bureau at the end of 1943. The Yak-9DD was in constant demand as an escort for bombers involved in the offensive -operations. The Yak-9DD saw service with the Soviet, Polish, Yugoslavian Air Forces and with the French air regiment "Normandia-Neman. It was used to escort American heavy bombers on raids against Romanian oil processing facilities, and also over Italy and Yugoslavia.
